### During Their Streak The Heat Haven’t Been The Most Efficient Team in the NBA

The Heat have won 23 straight, beating the Celtics last night in a nail-biter of a game.  You’d think that with such a winning streak that the Heat would be the most efficient team in the NBA (i.e. the biggest differential between points scored per 100 possessions and points given upper 100 possessions) since the start of the winning streak.  However, the Oklahoma City Thunder, have actually been the most efficient team (albeit by 0.4 points per 100 possessions) since the Heat’s winning streak started on February 3rd (think about that…they haven’t lost in a month and a half).

I am not saying that the Thunder are the best team in the NBA, I think it is absolutely clear that the Heat are the best team.  However, the fact that OKC can play at the level of the Heat for such an extended period of time speaks to the level of talent that both of these teams have — and how awesome it would be if these two teams met in the Finals again.
